BURN BAN LIFTED FOR KING COUNTY The burn ban for King County is lifted effective October 1, 2020. King County Fire Marshal has rescinded the fire burn ban in unincorporated King County effective October 1, 2020. Recreational fires are allowed. For other yard waste and larger fires a permit is required to be obtained from the local fire district or department. Be aware conditions may still be considered unsafe in some communities and permits for non-recreational fires will not be issued or fires allowed in those locations until conditions change. Fires larger than recreational fires are not allowed in urban areas. If you are in a city check with the city regarding any additional requirements or limitations.
