Chief Hank Lipe has re-certified his professional designation as a "Chief Fire Officer" (CFO) for his fourth consecutive term through the Center for Public Safety Excellence. The CPSE is a nonprofit organization which hosts a program providing professional designations for senior-level fire officers. Only 855 CFOs exist worldwide. The process includes those who demonstrate their excellence in a number of components including experience, education and technical competencies.
To maintain the designation, every three years Chief Lipe must show that he has continued to develop as a CFO in the areas of: Professional Development, Professional Contributions, Active Association Membership and Community Involvement. A Board of Review, consisting of members of the fire and emergency services profession, academia and municipal agencies reviews each application and makes the recommendation. We congratulate Chief Lipe in successfully achieving this highly respected mark of professional excellence.
